Dress description :
This is a classic, beautiful gown that I wore at my vintage-theme wedding. It has no stains, rips or pulls. It is a creme silk duchess satin, soft fluted or "trumpet" bridal gown with a strapless deep sweetheart neckline (the manufacturer also describes it as a "strapless V-neckline"). There is a creme silk satin organza overlay on the bodice that is accented by crystal appliques at the front and back empire waist and center back godet. It has a silk satin organza godet at the center back skirt and at the hemline. Lastly, there are covered buttons and loops over a zipper down the center back, and a sweep train. It has been professionally cleaned and is currently stored in an airtight heirloom box. I have a customized corset and the mermaid-style crinoline that I can include as well without cost. This dress is a bridal size 8; I typically wear a street size 2 - 4, depending on the garment. The dress was taken in only at the bodice to accommodate my smaller waist (it can be taken out slightly if necessary) and retains its original hip and bust dimensions. It was not hemmed, so it retains its original hem and hem length; due to the style of the dress, the hem can be taken up very easily. Though I'm relatively short, I wore high heels and a "poofy" mermaid-style crinoline under the dress which lifted it off the ground, so it would accommodate a height of 5'7" or 5'8"
